Karnataka SSLC Exam Fees Increased By 5% For 2026-27 Academic Year

The revised fee structure will apply across categories, including private candidates, repeaters and fresh candidates appearing for the Karnataka SSLC exams in 2027

NEW DELHI: The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has revised the examination fee for the Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination 2027. With this revision, the students now will pay 5% more than the previous fee.

For students appearing for the Karnataka SSLC examination for the first time, the fee has been increased from ₹710 to ₹746. The revised fee structure will apply across categories, including private candidates, repeaters and fresh candidates appearing for the Karnataka SSLC exams in 2027, said an official notification.

According to the revised fee structure, private candidates who have already registered and paid examination fee will have to pay a higher renewal charge.

The renewal fee for such candidates has been increased from ₹72 to ₹76. For private fresh candidates, the examination fee has been revised from ₹248 to ₹260 under the new structure.

The board has revised the examination fee applicable to private repeat candidates based on the number of subjects.

For private repeaters appearing for two subjects, the fee has been increased from ₹559 to ₹587. Candidates appearing for three or more subjects will now have to pay ₹790, compared with the earlier fee of ₹752.

The revised charges form part of the 5% increase announced by KSEAB for the Karnataka SSLC examinations.

Based on the examination schedule followed in previous years, the SSLC exams are expected to be conducted tentatively during March and April.
