Bhubaneswar: The KIIT IAS Academy (KIASA), a new initiative to provide free, high‑quality coaching and mentorship for public service aspirants, was formally launched at KIIT‑DU on Thursday by Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT & KISS.

Dr Samanta described the academy as his dream project, aimed at creating a dedicated ecosystem for nurturing students from the KIIT and KISS family who aspire to join the Civil Services. He noted that aspirants had traditionally been forced to travel outside Odisha for quality guidance, but KIASA would now bring such facilities closer to home.

Shiv Kumar Mohanka, IG of CISF, hailed the initiative as an outstanding effort, remarking that while universities usually certify skills, KIASA goes beyond conventional education by preparing young people to serve the nation.

Bimbadhar Pradhan, Director of KSPP and HoD‑KIASA, said the academy fulfilled a long‑standing aspiration to create an institutional platform for civil service preparation in the region. He praised KIIT’s record of visionary leadership and compassion in empowering deprived sections of society.

Chandra Shekhar Yadav, Director of TICS Eduworld LLP, also addressed the gathering. KIIT has partnered with TICS Eduworld LLP to strengthen the initiative.

Senior university officials including Prof Debashis Bandyopadhyay (Pro Vice‑Chancellor), Prof Saranjit Singh (Vice‑Chancellor) and Prof Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty (Pro‑VC‑cum‑Registrar) were present and spoke to students at the launch.
