New Delhi: Union Minister for Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ on Thursday said that the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has done a commendable job through the challenging phase of COVID-19 by continuing the school education via digital mode.
Appreciating the work done by KVS during the COVID situation, Pokhriyal, through video conferencing, inaugurated the new buildings of Kendriya Vidyalayas in Nayagarh and Rairangpur in Odisha, Hanumangarh in Rajasthan and Faridabad in Haryana.
He also said that the strength, competence and ability of any institution were demonstrated by the work done by it in difficult circumstances and the decisions taken by it.
“In the challenging phase of COVID-19, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has done a commendable job by continuing uninterruptedly school education through the digital medium,” Pokhriyal stated.
The construction cost of these four schools, which used to operate from temporary buildings, is about Rs 68.60 crore and will benefit about 4,000 students in Odisha, Haryana and Rajasthan.
