Indore: The Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has called off the Class X final exams and has again deferred Class XII final exams until further orders, in view of the rising COVID-19 cases in the state.
New dates will be declared for Class XII when the situation improves and students will be informed at least 20 days prior to the exams.
“Keeping in view the severity of corona infection, the 12th examinations to be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education are postponed until further orders,” the School Education Department tweeted.
Earlier, the board postponed the Class X and Class XII board exams on April 26. The Class XII exams were originally slated to commence on May 1.
As per the official statement issued on April 14, Class XII exams have been deferred for a month and Class X cancelled.
