Mumbai: Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad on Friday said that schools for Classes IX to XII will reopen from November 23, 2020 in the state. She also mentioned that the HSC Board Exams 2021 might not be possible before May. The exam usually takes place during February and March.
Earlier, Andhra Board and Gujarat Board had also postponed the Class X and XII Board Exams.
Citing the lack of offline classes this year, the minister said that the state government would want to first conduct classes. She also added that there are no alternatives and the Maharashtra SSC, HSC board examinations 2021 should be postponed, wrote Times Now.
Earlier this month, the Maharashtra Government reduced the syllabus for SSC and HSC examinations by 25 per cent to compensate for the time lost.
The education department might soon release guidelines and SOP regarding the reopening of schools in the state.
