Mizoram Postpones Reopening Of Schools In State
Aizawl: The Mizoram government has postponement reopening of schools in the state to contain the spread of novel coronavirus.
The state had announced earlier that schools would reopen on July 15.
Mizoram has recorded 162 COVID-19 cases, of which 35 are active while 127 have recovered.
According to media reports, education minister Lalchhandama Ralte said that the state has had to postpone its school reopening decision after the Union Ministry of Home Affairs directed all educational and training institutes in the country to be shut till July 31 due to the alarming spike in coronavirus cases in the country.
Mizoram recently conducted the pending class 12 Board exams successfully, with over 7,000 students answering the papers.
