Mumbai: Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) has deferred the examinations in summer for its medical course this year. The examinations were slated to start on July 16.
The university’s theory and practical examinations are scheduled to be held from August 4 in the entire Maharashtra.
The examination department has been guided by the Vice-Chancellor Deelip Mhaisekar and senior functionaries to chalk out a new time table. MBBS, BDS, B.A.M.S, B.U.M.S, B.H.M.S, Basic B.SC. NURSING, P.B.B.SC. NURSING, B.P.Th., B.O.Th., B.A.S.L.P., and B.P.O. time table has been put up on the university’s official site muhs.ac.in.
“Final year exams for allopathy, dental, homeopathy, nursing, Unani and Ayurveda will start from August 7, For other classes and streams, it will be on August 17, 2020,” Controller of Examination Ajit Pathak said was quoted as saying by The Times of India.
The post graduate exams of allopathy (MD/MS) are still in limbo as the dates have not been announced yet. The students of these courses are busy attending to COVID-19 patients in government and civic hospitals and they have appealed for the exams to be deferred as they hardly have time prepare for the same.
