New Delhi: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday discussed the action points from the 56th General Council held on January 5, 2019. Along with it, he also discussed the annual report and audited accounts of the NCERT for 2018-19.
The minister also took to his official Twitter account to break the news. He wrote, “Discussed the action points from the 56th General Council held on 05th January 2019 along with the Annual Report and Audited accounts of NCERT for the year 2018-19. Detailed discussion on recent Initiatives taken by @ncert was also held in the meeting.”

Stressing on the role of NCERT, Pokhriyal said, “As we are about to implement the National Education Policy, 2020 (NEP), the role of NCERT is crucial.” He also deliberated on important issues related to School Education.
