The Supreme Court-appointed inquiry committee investigating alleged police excesses during protests over the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) paper leak controversy has finalised an online portal for registering complaints.
The portal, developed with technical assistance from the National Informatics Centre (NIC), is awaiting launch and is expected to provide a platform for students, protesters and police personnel to submit their grievances.
According to a report published by Live Hindustan, the portal will accept complaints from both protesters and police personnel who claim to have been injured or affected by violence during the demonstrations.
Separate forms have been created for the two sides. However, the official launch date and detailed instructions for filing complaints are yet to be announced.
Following allegations of irregularities and a paper leak in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), students and student organisations staged protests in several parts of the country. They demanded an impartial investigation, action against those responsible and measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
