Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the country’s youth to develop self-confidence and introspection qualities, saying that the New Education Policy (NEO 2020) is aimed at improving these qualities among the students.
“The aim of the new National Education Policy is that the youth of the country gets to know itself,” the PM said at the centennial celebrations of the University of Lucknow.
Prime Minister Modi took an indirect dig at the previous governments in the address via video conference. He found fault with the functioning for years of the rail coach factory in Raebareli, according to Mint.
Modi, however, did not name Congress or its president Sonia Gandhi, who represents Raebareli in Parliament.
The prime minister released a commemorative coin and a postal stamp to mark Lucknow University’s centennial foundation day.
