New Delhi: Putting an end to rumours about the change in syballus for NEET 2020, the National Testing Agency (NTA) on Saturday clarified that the syllabus for the rescheduled entrance test has not been changed.
NTA also stated that the syllabus for NEET is prepared by the Medical Council of India (MCI) under the Union Health Ministry and not by them.
NTA, as quoted in Indian Eexpress, stated, “All candidates preparing for NEET 2020 are hereby informed that there is no change in syllabus of NEET. NTA does not decide the syllabus, it only provides a link to the syllabus.”
After NEET 2020 was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, fake circulars on social media had claimed that the syllabus for the test has been changed.
The rescheduled date for the withheld test may be announced on April 15, as per reports.
The NTA is allowing candidates to make changes in the application forms, if any, by logging on to nta.ac.in or ntaneet.nic.in.
Nearly 15.93 lakh candidates have applied for NEET this year.
