New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the syllabi for senior and senior secondary students (Classes IX to XII) for the 2021-22 academic year.
The chapters that were excluded last year have now been restored. This implies that the board exams next year will be held based on the full syllabus.
The CBSE syllabus for the 2021 exams had been slashed by 30 per cent due to the closure of schools in the COVID-19 pandemic. The CBSE has also released the curriculum for the secondary and senior secondary school on its official website cbseacademic.nic.in.
For Class XI Political Science, the board “completely deleted” chapters on Federalism, Citizenship, Nationalism, and Secularism. Excluded chapters of Class XII Political Science included Security in the Contemporary World, Environment and Natural Resources, Social and New Social Movements in India, and Regional Aspirations, according to NDTV.
All these chapters have now been restored in the 2021-22 curriculum. The CBSE has also restored the deleted syllabus portions of other subjects too.
