NTA Issues Advisories For JEE-Main Candidates; Know Here

The Exam Is Beginning Tomorrow

Ahead of the JEE-Main exam on January 6, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a set of advisories which candidates need to follow for maintaining fairness and smooth conduct of the test.

The advisories:

1. Candidates should visit the examination centre a day before the examination and familiarise themselves with the location and means of reaching the venue on time.

2. Reach the venue at the reporting time mentioned in the admit card. If you report beyond
the gate closing time of the centre, you will not be allowed to enter the test venue. Instructions have been issued for strict compliance.

3. Things to carry:
➢ Admit Card downloaded from the NTA Website (a clear preferably colour printout on A4 size paper).
➢ One Passport size photograph to be pasted on the attendance sheet at the Centre.
➢ A valid Photo ID proof in original.

4. Things not to carry:
Candidates are not allowed to carry instrument, geometry, pencil box, handbag, purse, any kind of Paper — printed or written material, eatables and water mobile phone, ear phone, calculator, DocuPen, slide rules, log tables, camera, tape recorder, any type of watch including electronic watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets, devices in the examination hall.
There may not be any provision for safe keeping of valuables at the centre.

5. The examination will be computer-based and hence candidates should familiarise themselves in case they have not done so already, with the examination through the mock test available at www.nta.ac.in, NTA said in its advisories.

As many as 9.35 lakh candidates will sit for the exam beginning on January 6 and ending on January 11.
