NTA Releases Sample Questions For JEE-Main 2020 Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts the JEE-Main exam, has released the mock question paper to help students prepare for the long-form or numerical type questions.

This type of questions will be introduced with the JEE-Main January 2020 exam. However, unlike the objective type questions, numerical questions will not attract any negative markings.

Candidates can click here to attempt the mock test or visit https://jeemain.nta.nic.in to get the sample questions.

The examination will be held from Jan 6 to 11, 2020. It will be computer-based, except for the Drawing Test for B.Arch. course which will be pen-paper based.

The move to introduce long format questions came after the exam conducting authority had to face criticism over testing the students only through objective type questions. There was a view in the academic circles that objective types fail to correctly assess the merit of a student.

JEE-Main is conducting twice a year — January and April for admissions to engineering institutes such as NITs, among others. It also acts as a screening test for candidates who wish to sit for the JEE-Advanced for admission to the IITs.
