New Delhi: The date sheet for Common University Test for Undergraduates (CUET-UG), which will be conducted by National Testing Agency’s (NTA) between May 15 and May 31, will be released after March 26, University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar said on Sunday.
Since two dates overlap with that of the fifth phase and the sixth phase of polling for Lok Sabha elections on May 20 and May 25, respectively, the NTA will wait for the last date for filling of applications on March 26 to be able to gather information on the candidates and their geographical distribution. “Based on this data and the election dates, NTA will announce the date sheet for CUET-UG between May 15 and May 31,” he added.
The crucial exam for admission to undergraduate programmes in 2024-25 academic year will be conducted in 13 languages at centres in 380 cities, including 26 cities abroad, in a hybrid mode, a senior NTA official had earlier told the media.
The Election Commission on Saturday announced the schedule of the general elections.
Meanwhile, the NTA is conducting CUET PG 2024 nationwide for admission to postgraduate programmes. The examination commenced on March 11 and is scheduled to conclude on March 28.
