Bhubaneswar: With the CBSE announcing the plan for the alternative evaluation for Class XII results, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Thursday hinted that the results of the Matric exams will be a strong parameter for the assessment of Plus II results in Odisha.
CHSE Vice-Chairman Tusharkanti Tripathy told the media that the 14-member expert committee formed by the state government is most likely to submit its report on the modality of the Plus II evaluation on Thursday afternoon.
Tripathy the committee had earlier discussed the mode of evaluation and it is most likely that the Plus II assessment will be based on the results of the Matric exams.
“The expert committee is having another round of meeting to finalise the mode of evaluation and is expected to submit its report today,” Tripathy said.
Asked whether the committee has confirmed that the Plus II evaluation will be done on the basis of the Matric results, he said the Controller of Examination is having a meeting in this regard with the committee members.
He, however, added that since this is a combined decision of the committee, he is not authorized to give a personal opinion on this matter.
It may be mentioned that after the cancellation of annual Plus II exams in view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Odisha government had formed a 14-member expert committee on June 5 to suggest the modality for alternative evaluation.
