Bhubaneswar: The Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) has maintained its high standards by achieving a 100% pass percentage in Odisha’s Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Plus II examinations.
Smitarani Mallick (Kandha) from Kandhamal district emerged institution topper in Commerce stream, securing 83%. In Science, it was Kajal Mardi (Santal) from Jharkhand who was the best performer with 82% score.
Several students from particularly vulnerable tribal groups (PVTGs) cleared the exam in both streams.
“It is a marvel that tribal students from a particular school achieve a 100% pass rate year after year. Such accomplishments are not possible without the grace of God,” said Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT & KISS.
He extended his gratitude to all faculty members of both streams at KISS and congratulated the successful students.
KISS, a one-of-its-kind institution, provides free education and accommodation to tribal students, encouraging them to pursue studies and helping them carve out a good life for them.
