Odisha Students To Get Free Textbooks At Home After Lockdown Is Lifted

Bhubaneswar: As students across the state are struggling to study at home without books amidst the lockdown, the Odisha government is mulling delivering text books to their homes soon after the lockdown is lifted.

A source from the S&ME department informed that the state government is planning to deliver textbooks to the students of state-run and government schools at their homes after the lockdown period.

The authorities have approached the teachers’ association for making the textbooks available to the students.

As per media reports, the nationwide lockdown, which was imposed due to the corona pandemic, may be lifted on April 30, 2020.

The schools across the state will remain closed till June 17, 2020 to contain the coronavirus outbreak.
