Bhubaneswar: The just-concluded, first of its kind e-Summer Camp of SAI International was unique in more ways than one. It reached out to more than 60,000 viewers in India, the US, Canada, UK, UAE, Australia, and Uganda.
More than 4000 students across Play Group to Class XII from SAI International School, SAI Angan, and SAI International Residential School participated in more than 40 different carefully designed age-appropriate activities sitting at home.
From Photography, Videography, Video Editing, Mix Media, Animation and Photo Editing to Yoga, Aerobics, Zumba and Dance to honing their creativity with Clay Modelling, Origami, Paper Collage, Sand Art, Sculpture and Pot Painting, students also had sessions on Drama, Role Play and Puppetry as well as Music to refine their aesthetic sense. There were sessions on Robotics, Coding, Master Chef, Storytelling along with Communication Skills, Table Etiquettes, Dress-up, Soft Skills, and Life Skills.
Sessions were also held on Poetry Reading, Creative Writing and Write a Book, on Health & Wellness, Sports & Fitness, and on Skin & Hair Care. Sessions on Magic Show, Best out of Waste, and basics of Spanish were also a part of the camp.
The camp came to a befitting end with Family Time morning activity and superb dance performance in the evening Entertainment Expert Session by the Prince Dance Group, winners of India’s Got Talent.
Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo Founder and Mentor, SAI International thanked the teachers, staff and the edutech team for the success of the camp and said ‘challenges can make our life interesting and overcoming them will make it more meaningful. COVID 19 has given us an opportunity to reboot and redefine ourselves’. He added that “every possible step has been taken to ensure that the children are actively and constructively engaged as well as enriched with the new millennium skills. I am glad that we were able to achieve our objective’.
