New Delhi: The Indian Army has introduced a computer-based online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) for recruitment of Agniveers, Junior Commissioned Officers and other categories.
The online CEE for registered candidates commenced on Monday at 375 examination centres in 176 locations across India and will continue till April 26.
The online exam is being conducted with assistance from Education Consultancy Services India Limited, a Mini Ratna Company under Union Ministry of Education, a Defence Ministry PIB release stated.
The new recruitment procedure will be carried out in three stages.
Firstly, all candidates who have registered and applied online on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in will sit for the online CEE. In stage 2, shortlisted candidates will then be called for recruitment rallies from June 2023 in phases at locations decided by respective Army Recruitment Office where they will undergo physical fitness test and physical measurement test. Finally, selected candidates will undergo medical test.
The final merit list of successful candidates will be declared thereafter.
The modified recruitment system is expected to make the process more streamlined and transparent by optimally exploiting the latest IT infrastructure available in the country.
