Open OJEE Centres In Govt Polytechnics & ITIs, Urges Technical Education & Training, Director Reghu G

Bhubaneswar: The Director of Technical Education and Training, Odisha, Reghu G urged the government polytechnics and State ITIs to open Joint Entrance Examination centres at their institutes.

The letter dated August 10 from Reghu, as reported by OTV, was addressed to the principals across 16 districts of Odisha, namely, Bolangir, Deogarh, Boudh, Gajapati, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Malakanagiri, Mayurbhanj, Nabarnagpur, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Puri and Sonepur.

“As per the request of the OJEE Chairman, your Institution shall be visited jointly by the representatives of TATA Consultancy Services (TCS) Limited and OJEE to explore the possibilities of opening ensuing OJEE examination centres. You are therefore requested to extend full co-operation to the officials during the inspection,” the letter read.

As part of the inspection, the staff would also look at the available facilities of government Polytechnic or ITIs confirming to the requirement of Computer Based Test (CBT) scheduled to be held between September 9 and 15, according to the letter.

Notably on July 25, the OJEE authorities had added five more cities, Angul, Baripada, Bargarh, Jeypore and Keonjhar to the list of the existing places as online examination centres.

Presently, there are 47 government ITIs in Odisha spread across various districts.
