Cuttack: Orion 2021, the seventh edition of the annual fest of Sri Sri University was inaugurated on Friday. Minister of Tourism, Odia Language, Literature and Culture of Odisha, Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi was the chief guest. Ollywood actress Anu Chaudhary was the guest of honour.
The ceremony portrayed the values and ethics of Sri Sri University and the motto of Orion, “The best of East and the best of West”. The inauguration ceremony commenced with Guru Pooja performed by Shri Narendra Lamba followed by Saraswati Vandana.
Captain Chandrasekhar Panda addressed the audience. Addressing the audience, Anu Chaudhary laid emphasis on the retention of Indian culture and traditions while adopting modern culture. She also stressed on the preservation of nature and spread awareness among the younger generation.
The chief guest advised students on the importance of spirituality for creating a scientific temperament and clarity on the thought process.
