Gandhinagar: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the students of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University (PDPU) virtually at the convocation ceremony, speaking of growth opportunities in entrepreneurship and employment, reported ANI.
Congratulating students in his speech, Modi expressed confidence at students “infusing power into the Atmanirbhar Bharat mission”, through their “skills, talent and professionalism.”
Modi further bolstered the spirits of students, saying that despite the problems of graduating during a pandemic, their “abilities are much bigger than these challenges.”
“It is not that successful people do not face problems, but he who accepts challenges, confronts them, defeats them, solves problems, eventually succeeds.” he said.
Speaking on the issue of carbon emissions, Modi said efforts were being made to reduce the country’s carbon footprint by 30-35 per cent, and increase the use of natural gas for energy by four times during the current decade.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Innovation and Incubation Centre – Technology Business Incubation, Translational Research Centre and Sports Complex, and lay the foundation stone of a 45 MW Production Plant of Monocrystalline Solar Photo Voltaic Panel and Centre of Excellence on Water Technology at the university.
