New Delhi: The results that were pending for various postgraduate and undergraduate courses will be announced by Delhi University by November 30, the university informed the Delhi High Court on Tuesday. The high court observed that DU’s “neck is on board” if it doesn’t do that.
The university made the submission while responding to an application that alleged violation of the court’s earlier order when DU had undertaken to declare all the results by October 31, according to news agency PTI.
A bench comprising Justices Hima Kohli and Subramonium Prasad noted the submission made by the counsel for DU that the rest of the results of postgraduate and undergraduate courses shall be announced by November 30.
The bench postponed the order waiting for updated instructions of DU’s counsel Mohinder Rupal.
“Your neck is on the board if you don’t do it,” the bench orally observed and posted the matter for further hearing on December 2.
Questions were also raised by the bench over filing of the application in a disposed petition.
