New Delhi: A string of education initiatives is set to be announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he addresses the inaugural conclave of Shikshak Parv via video conference on Tuesday, September 7.
Some of the initiatives are Indian Sign Language Dictionary (audio and text embedded sign language video for the hearing impaired, in conformity with Universal Design of Learning), Talking Books (audiobooks for the visually impaired), School Quality Assurance and Assessment Framework of CBSE, NISHTHA teachers’ training programme for NIPUN Bharat and Vidyanjali portal (for facilitating education volunteers/donors/CSR contributors for school development), according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), according to ABP education.
The theme of the Shikshak Parv 2021 is Quality and Sustainable Schools: Learnings from Schools in India. The PMO hopes to encourage innovative practices for ensuring continuity of education at all levels with improvement in quality and inclusive practices along with sustainability in schools across India through Shikshak Parv 2021 celebrations.
The 10-day online programme will be held between September 7 and September 17. It will include award ceremonies, seminars and discussions on the National Education Policy (NEP-2020) implementation.
