New Delhi: To commemorate Sanskrit Week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to people to learn and promote Sanskrit. Sanskrit Week is being celebrated between August 19 and 25.
According to PM Modi, it is a matter of joy that the ancient language is reaching more people through modern technology, with its popularity growing across the world.
Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan took to social media to urge the citizens to take a pledge and generate new enthusiasm towards Indian culture, traditions and languages and make Sanskrit accessible to everyone.
“On the occasion of Sanskrit Week, PM Modi has called upon the public to learn and promote this ancient language,” Pradhan tweeted.
ऋषियों, मुनियों व तपस्वियों के ज्ञान, विज्ञान और दर्शन की अमूल्य धरोहर सहेजे, संस्कृत, भारत की संस्कृति, सभ्यता व कई भाषाओं का आधार है।
