Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s interactive programme with students and teachers “Pariksha Pe Charcha” (PPC), being held to help students deal with exam-related stress, is to be held on January 20 at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi. This is the third edition of PPC which was earlier scheduled to be held on Janaury 16 but was postponed on account of Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Lohri and other festivals across the countrty.
PM’s PPC is to be attended by 2,200 students, selected from across the country through a unique contest. The HRD Ministry in partnership with MyGov launched a ‘short essay’ competition for students of classes 9 to 12 for the third edition of interaction programme. On December 5, last year, PM Modi had announced a competition where participants were instructed to write their response on any one of the five given themes.
Themes given were:
- Gratitude is Great
- Your future depends on your aspirations
- Examining Exams
- Our Duties, you take
- Balance is Beneficial
The entries for the competition were invited online from December 2 to December 23 last year through the website: www.mygov.in . The students whose entries were judged the best on the basis of their online responses, are invited to take part in the programme.
As many as 28 students from Odisha have been selected to participate in PM’s “Parksha Pe Charcha”. Besides, students, teachers and parents are going to be a part of PPC.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had talked about examinations and related stress during his “Mann Ki Baat” address of September.
