BHUBANESWAR: Pooshan Mohapatra from Odisha has emerged as the all-India topper in NEET PG-2025, the results of which was announced by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) late on Tuesday.
He completed his MBBS from SCB Medical College and Hospital (MCH) in Cuttack.
Speaking to the media, Pooshan said that though he had done well in the exam, he was not expecting the top position. “It was in January that I decided to take the exam this year. My internship ended in March-end. I began preparing for the exam at home from April. I took help from an online platform and solved test papers,” he said.
He said that fate aligned with hard work bringing him success. “While my elder sister, who is pursuing her PG after MBBS from SCB, has been an inspiration, I got enormous support from my family, who never pressed me for anything,” he said.
Pooshan wants to specialise in either medicine or radiology. “I would advise aspirants to prepare without thinking much about the ranks,” he added.
