New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Vaishvik Bhartiya Vaigyanik (VAIBHAV) Summit on Friday at 6:30 pm.
As per a Press Information Bureau (PIB) release, the VAIBHAV is a global virtual summit of overseas resident Indian researchers and academicians. The summit will continue till October 31.
PM Modi wrote on Twitter, “Looking forward to tomorrow’s Vaibhav summit, which brings together scientists as well as researchers from the Indian diaspora. Do join at 6:30 pm on October 2.”
The objective of the summit is to bring Indian origin luminaries in academic institutes and research and development (R&D) institutions across the globe and resident counterparts on one platform to debate upon collaboration mechanisms to strengthen academic and a Science and Technology (S&T) base in India for global development.
The Principal Scientific Advisor, Government of India along with 200 academic institutions and S&T are organising the summit.
