Chandigarh: Girls have outshone the boys in the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) Class XII results that were announced on Tuesday. The overall pass percentage is 90.98. About 94.82 per cent girls passed the exams while among the boys, the pass percentage is 90.99.
Nearly 3.5 lakh students appeared for the exams in 2020. A total of 94.32 per cent government school students and 91.84 per cent affiliated school students cleared the exams. From the associated schools, 87.04 percent of students passed.
Class XII students of science stream got the highest pass percentage of 94.82, followed by commerce (91.05 per cent) and arts (92.87 per cent), according to Hindustan Times.
About 88.81 per cent students of vocational stream cleared the exams. The overall pass percentage in 2019 was 86.41 per cent.

Step 4: Take printout of the scores for future reference
However, only three exams could take place due to the coronavirus pandemic. The PSEB apparently calculated marks and grades on the basis of the exams conducted before they were suspended in view of rising COVID-19 cases in the country.
According to Times Now, PSEB will do away with the merit list this year.
