Chandigarh: Punjab Government is all set to call off all university and college exams in view of rising COVID-19 cases in the state. According to Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, universities can go ahead with their online fixtures if they choose to.
The chief minister announced this through his weekly Facebook live ‘AskCaptain’. Singh said that the students’ evaluation can be done based on their past performance and promoted.
According to a report, the colleges and universities are working out the modalities on how to implement the government’s decision and an update can only be expected next week.
Singh also made it clear that students can avail the opportunity of appearing for the exams, whenever those are held, in case they are not happy with the evaluation.
