Puri: Regular classes in the Sri Jagannath Medical College and Hospital in Puri will commence from the current academic session.
Briefing the media persons during his visit to the medical college for inspection of its infrastructure, Director Medical Education and Training (DMET) CBK Mohanty said that as the Medical Council of India (MCI) has given permission for admission in 100 Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) seats, classes will commence after the admission which will be held on the basis of merit through the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET).
The DMET was accompanied by the Dean and Superintendent of the Medical College.
