The Ministry of Railways, taking note of the efforts of a teacher to draw students to school, has twitted the pictures of the walls of Sanyasiguda School in Odisha’s Nabrangpur district and expressed its acknowledgement by referring to the teacher’s creativity on the Ministrty’s twitter handle – @RailMinIndia, today.
The Railway Ministry’s official twitter handle has also shared few images of Sanyasiguda school in Nabarangpur district of Odisha where it can be seen that the boundary walls of the school are painted to look like train coaches. One of the images reads “Come, let’s go to school”.
“Teacher’s innovative idea to paint school boundary walls like train coaches to encourage children to come to school,” says the Railway Ministry’s tweeter handle. The twitter handle though doesn’t mention the teacher’s name.
This is not the only instance of teachers and school administrations making extra efforts to make schools more appealing to young kids. An upper primary school in the town of Malkangiri was like any other government school until it got a new lease of life a couple of years ago, under the “building as learning aid” scheme of the state government, when its walls were painted like a train.
