Jaipur: Officials of Rajasthan Education Department on Tuesday confirmed that state schools may reopen on November 2 for Class X to XII, after remaining closed for 7 months due to COVID-19 pandemic, reported EdexLive.
State Education minister Govind Singh Dotasara said that it is awaiting confirmation from the state government regarding the proposal to reopen schools for senior classes on November 2.
Also saying that zero academic sessions were not possible, he added that schools reopening in the first phase for senior classes will run for at least 150 days, which is the “minimum requirement” for “one academic school session,”, mentioned an SOP sent to the state government.
Guidelines including sanitisation of school properties, arrangement for washing hands, using own study stationery, eating home-cooked meals, drinking water from their own bottles etc. are stated in the SOP.
