New Delhi: Union Minister for Education, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank along with Minister of Textiles and Women & Child Development Smriti Irani launched the Toycathon 2021 virtually on Tuesday.
“There are 33,000 crore students in our country. The toy hackathon will provide a platform to take forward the ideas of our children, our students & our teachers. Initiatives like the #toy hackathon will restore India’s status of Vishwa Guru and help fulfil PM Nerendra Modi ji’s dream of an AatmanirbharBharat,” said Pokhriyal, the Ministry of Education handle tweeted.
Smriti Irani said that the entire country needs to ensure that “we support the local industry with regard to toy manufacturing & answer the clarion call of Narendra Modi ji in making India #Aatmanirbhar.”
Irani thanked the education ministry for its support. “We are reaching out through this Hackathon, for the first time, to students & faculty members across the country in all schools, colleges, and universities,” she said.
