Registration Deadline For IGNOU TEE December 2025 Extended

The application process which started on September 6 will now end on October 26

NEW DELHI: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for submitting applications for the December session term-end examination.

The application process, which started on September 6, will end its application now on October 26. Students, who are yet to apply online, can visit exam.ignou.ac.in, and fill in the application form. The earlier deadline was October 6.

The examination is being held for both ODL and online programmes offered by the University. The exam will likely start on December 1 onwards and likely continue till January 8.

Furthermore, IGNOU students who have not yet submitted their examination forms for the Term-End Examinations (TEE), along with project submissions and practical exams, can complete the process using the online link provided on the website.

These students are advised to review the schedule, along with the necessary instructions and guidelines. The deadline now without a late fee, is October 26.

The students who have appeared in June 2025 TEE for previous semester/year courses, but whose result is not declared as on the date of filling up the examination form, may apply or add such courses later on, after declaration of results, if they do not complete successfully the term-end examinations of any courses.

Eligibility for IGNOU TEE December 2025

  • All the eligible courses registered for the first year/re-registered for the second/third year for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • All the eligible courses registered for the diploma and PG diploma programmes.
  • All the eligible courses registered for certificate, PG certificate programmes and all the semester-based programmes.
  • The student has the validity of the programme.
  • Eligible courses for which term-end examinations have not been completed or have not appeared, so far.
  • Candidates should have paid the course fee due for that year/semester and opted for and pursued the prescribed course as per the provisions laid down.
  • They should have submitted the required number of assignments within the due dates before taking the examination. Their registration for the programme should be valid.

The examination schedule and fee structure are based on the student’s admission cycle. For students admitted till the December 2022 admission cycle, the prescribed fee is Rs 200 per course for both phases.

To qualify for the December 2025 Term-End Examination (TEE) conducted by the IGNOU, students must meet specific minimum marks criteria. For undergraduate courses, candidates are required to secure at least 35 per cent marks in both the theory examination and the assignment component.

Meanwhile, postgraduate students must achieve a minimum of 40 per cent in each of these components.

The final result will be determined by the combined performance in the theory and assignments, with assignments contributing approximately 30 per cent to the overall score.
