NEW DELHI: The State Bank of India (SBI) has started the application process for the recruitment of Junior Associates (Customer Support and Sales), known as SBI Clerk.
All those interested and eligible candidates can apply on the official website, sbi.co.in, until August 26, 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill 6,589 Junior Associate vacancies, including regular and backlog posts.
Eligibility criteria
Age Limit: Applicants must be between 20 and 28 years as on April 1, 2025. They should be born between April 2, 1997, and April 1, 2005 (both dates inclusive). Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government rules.
Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification. Candidates with integrated dual degrees must ensure the date of passing is on or before December 31, 2025.
Those in the final year/semester of graduation can apply provisionally. They must, however, produce proof of passing the final exam by December 31, 2025, if selected.
Selection process
The selection will comprise of three levels.
Preliminary Examination: Objective-type test for 1 hour, carrying 100 marks
Main Examination: Objective-type test for 2 hours and 40 minutes, with 190 questions for 200 marks
Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT): Candidates who have not studied the specified local language of the state applied for (in Class 10 or 12) will be required to appear for LLPT worth 20 marks after qualifying the Mains exam.
Application fee
It is Rs 750 for the General, OBC, and EWS candidates. There is no fee for SC, ST, PwBD, XS, and DXS candidates.
