Six Schools In Angul District Get Smart Boards, Solar Power Systems

Subhadra Coal Mine Limited, a subsidiary of Essel Mining and Industries Limited under the Aditya Birla Group, extends supports for creating the education infrastructure at these schools

BHUBANESWAR: Subhadra Coal Mine Limited (SCML), a subsidiary of Essel Mining and Industries Limited under the Aditya Birla Group, has extended support installation of smart interactive boards and solar power systems at six schools in Chendipada region of Angul district.

The Tangarsahi Primary School, Kankarei UP School, Pirakhaman Primary School, Bahalasahi UP School, Kankarei High School, Raijharan High School are the institutions where the initiatives have been implemented.

The initiatives were inaugurated by Chendipada MLA Agasti Behera, in the presence of Bijay Majhi, nominee of the Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan; HS Solanki, GM, MCL); headmasters of the respective schools; Bimal Baral, unit head, SCML and SCML officials.

A large-scale plantation drive was also organised under the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ to mark the occasion.

The MLA lauded the SCML efforts for providing the high-end facilities, as a part of its CSR initiatives, to promote quality education. He urged the teaching faculty to make use of the facilities to strengthen digital literacy among the students.

The smart interactive boards are designed to enable modern, technology-enabled teaching methods, making lessons more engaging and interactive, while the solar power systems will ensure uninterrupted power supply to the schools.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from local stakeholders, school management, and community members, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the initiative.
