NEW DELHI: The Staff Selection Commission has released the exam city intimation slip for SSC CGL 2026 candidates appearing for the Tier-I examination.
Candidates can check their allotted examination city, exam date and shift through the designated login module on the official website, ssc.gov.in.
The SSC CGL Tier-I examination will be held from September 30 to October 30, 2026.
To download their city intimation slip, candidates need to go to the SSC portal, and log in to download the document. After logging in, the city slip will display the candidate’s allotted examination city, date and shift, said an official notification.

To download the city intimation slip for the SSC CGL 2026 Tier 1 Exam, follow this step-by-step guide:
Step 1: Visit the official portal of SSC at ssc.gov.in.
Step 2: Click on the Login or Register option located at the top of the homepage.
Step 3: Enter your unique Registration Number (Username) in the first field of the login window.
Step 4: Provide account Password, type visible alphanumeric Captcha code and click Submit button
Step 5: Navigate to active examinations section and select Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026.
Step 6: Click the designated Check City Intimation Slip link.
Step 7: Review allotted exam city, exam date, and shift timing.
Step 8: Download the PDF copy of the city intimation slip and take a printout for reference

The exact date and shift applicable to each candidate can be checked through the city intimation slip. The admit card will be issued around two to three days before the respective examination date, according to the information released for the recruitment.
The SSC CGL Tier-I examination will be of one hour. The paper will contain 100 questions carrying 200 marks, divided equally among four sections: General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.
Each section will have 25 questions. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for every wrong answer.
The examination will be conducted in computer-based mode. The questions will be available in English and Hindi, except for the English Comprehension section.
