Jaipur: With a resurge in COVID-19 infections, the students from classes I to V will be promoted to the next classes without the annual examinations in Rajasthan, the officials confirmed here on Thursday.
However, for Classes VI and VII students, the exams will begin on April 15. The officials will issue a separate guideline for Class VIII Board examination.
Also, examinations for Class IX and X students will be conducted between April 6 and 22. The results of all the exams will be declared on April 30. The next session will begin on May 1.
According to the orders, children up to Class I to V will be promoted to the next class based on the assessment made under Smile-1, Smile-2 and Aao ghar se sikhe program in view of changing circumstances of COVID-19.
The Rajasthan government has launched a smile project during COVID-19 induced lockdown under which the teachers were imparting education via YouTube channels.
