Chennai: The first-ever Study in Korea Education Fair in this southern city will be held at Leela Palace Chennai on September 20.
The National Institute for International Education (NIIED) will host the event in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Chennai.
The fair will bring together representatives from several premier Korean universities, including Kangwon National University, (Gangneung), Konkuk University Glocal Campus, Kyungdong University Global, Dongguk University, Chonnam National University Busan Health University and Busan University of Foreign Studies among others.
The event will give students the opportunity to directly interact with university representatives through one-on-one consultations, offering first-hand insight into academic programs, admission processes and campus life in Korea.
NIIED had previously hosted Study in Korea Education Fair in New Delhi. This is, however, the first time the initiative is being hosted to South India, reflecting the growing interest among students in the region to pursue higher education in Korea.
In addition to the participating universities, the fair will feature the King Sejong Institutes of Chennai and Bengaluru, which will showcase Korean language and culture to the attendees.
