Supreme Court To Hear Plea Seeking Cancellation Of Class XII State Board Exams

New Delhi: A plea seeking the cancellation of the Class XIIth state board exams and on the decision on the assessment of students will be heard by the Supreme Court on Thursday, June 17.

Besides the plea to cancel state board Class XII exams, the top court will also hear another petition asking for a directive with respect to the physical examination of the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) exams.

Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari’s division bench will hear the matter on Thursday.

Going by the reports, Advocate Anubha Srivastava Sahai and seven others filed the plea on behalf of 47 students from 23 different states and two Union Territories and three different countries, reported NDTV.

The 23 states that filed the petition include Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal while the two Union Territories are Chandigarh and Delhi.
