The petitioners’ lawyer had told media last Thursday that notices have been issued to respondents (UPSC and Centre). However, in the order that was later uploaded on the court’s website clearly said that the judges only agreed to hear the matter without issuing any notice.
As many as 20 UPSC aspirants filed the petition against conducting of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination on October 4.
“Conducting the aforesaid examination across India at such perilous time is nothing else but putting lives of lakhs of young students (including Petitioners herein) at utmost risk and danger of disease and death,” the plea said.
