New Delhi: Ten University of Hyderabad PhD students have been shortlisted for the Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF).
All ten shortlisted fellows under the PMRF scheme will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 70,000, which may be raised to a maximum monthly fellowship of Rs 80,000 towards the end of PhD.
The increment will be given provided the performance during the initial years of PhD is satisfactory, said a statement from Hyderabad University. Besides the monthly fellowships, each candidate will also be eligible for a Rs 2 Lakhs research grant every year.

According to the statement, Vice-Chancellor (UoH) Professor Appa Rao Podile, (Chairman, Internal Expert Committee (IEC), Professor N Siva Kumar, all the members of IEC, PMRF co-ordinator at UoH and Convenor, IEC, Professor Vadali VSS Srikanth, and the university fraternity congratulated the shortlisted Fellows, the statement added.
