NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the JEE Main session one and two exam schedule.
The JEE (Main) 2026 will be conducted in two sessions—the first in January 2026 and the second in April 2026. The JEE Main session one examination is tentatively scheduled between January 21 and 30, while the Main session two is expected to be held from April 1 to 10, said a notification.

The application window for JEE Mains session one will open in October 2025 on the official NTA website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.
Aadhaar database
In a move aimed at simplifying the JEE Main registration process, the NTA will auto-fetch key candidate details from the Aadhaar database, including name, date of birth, gender, photograph, and address, through the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). This step is expected to minimise errors and streamline verification.
The agency has also reminded students about its earlier notice issued on November 6, 2024, which addressed discrepancies between Aadhaar details and school certificates.
Candidates facing mismatches—such as spelling errors or differing names—will have the opportunity to resolve them during the JEE Main 2026 application process. Aspirants are advised to verify their Aadhaar and Class 10th certificate details well in advance.
The NTA further announced that the number of JEE Main exam cities will be expanded to accommodate more candidates, ensuring wider accessibility across India. Special provisions will also be available for Persons with Disabilities (PwD/PwBD).
For any queries or assistance regarding the JEE (Main) 2026 examination, candidates can reach out to the National Testing Agency through its official websites — nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in.
