New Delhi: IIT-Delhi, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru and IIT-Bombay are the three Indian universities that have figured among the world’s top 100 universities in terms of graduate employability.
IIT-Delhi has been ranked 27 globally, better than fancied institutions like the University of Chicago, University of California Berkley and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. This was revealed in the Global Employability University Ranking and Survey (GEURS) published on Wednesday, November 24.
The other two — IISc was ranked 61 (making a leap of 10 ranks since 2020) and IIT-Bombay was placed 97 (leaping 31 spots). The survey was conducted among 10,928 international recruiters and managers across 23 countries and regions.
“India’s universities see a clear rise for the first time in a number of years thanks to the rise of soft skills and digital literacy and technical and research specialization. Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi holds on to 27th place and all other universities ranked last year (six total) climb an average of 20 places in the table. Bangalore University (249th) enters the ranking for the first time,” the survey stated.
