New Delhi: At least six Indian states have called of all exams, including final-semester exams, in the colleges and universities.
Even many central universities have followed suit while the rest are waiting for University Grants Commission’s (UGC) revised guidelines on exams, academic calendar and admissions.
Odisha, Maharashtra, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan are the states which have already cancelled all their exams. Central universities like Aligarh Muslim University and the Central University of Haryana have officially postponed examinations.
Also, several other state universities such as the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University and Lucknow University in Uttar Pradesh have taken the call to postpone their examinations.
Meanwhile, Delhi University is still hell-bent on holding online open book exams for the students of final years even as widespread protests and a disastrous trial run commenced on Saturday.
