New Delhi: The University Grants Commission (UGC), in an official notice, has encouraged universities and colleges to continue taking advantage of the SWAYAM online platform for digital education to students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A total of 78 undergraduate and 46 postgraduate Massive Online Open Courses (MOOCs) have been introduced by the UGC on the SWAYAM portal. The courses will be on offer in the January 2021 semester.
The tentative dates of examination for these courses are May 8 and 9. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the assessments. The full list of MOOCs is available at swayam.gov.in/CEC.
SWAYAM courses are likely to be approved and adopted on the authorities’ recommendation for credit transfer and ratified by the Academic Council. These courses have already been accepted by several universities for credit transfer.
