London: To make life easier for Indian students, the United Kingdom has opened a window for students studying there to secure their right to stay in the country and look for employment.
It may be recalled that UK home secretary Priti Patel had announced a post-study work visa for international students — graduate route visa — on July 1. The UK is inviting applications again for such visas next week onwards.
This move is expected to help the Indian students, known for choosing degree courses based on work prospects.
According to the UK Home Office’s announcement, overseas graduates with degrees from recognised UK universities can apply for a visa to stay back and hunt for work for two more years.
