New Delhi: The Union Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ said on Tuesday that the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) have been directed to have a coordination meeting for the announcement of CBSE class X and XII compartment examinations.
The move came after considering concerns like delay in results, admissions in college can hamper undergraduate students, and they can miss one academic year.
On Tuesday, the Supreme Court (SC) of India directed the CBSE and UGC to work together to make sure the career of 2 lakh students writing CBSE compartment exams does not suffer.
Ramesh Pokhriyal took Twitter and wrote, “Chairman @ugc_india & Chairman @cbseindia29 have been directed to have a coordination meeting regarding the dates for the release of results of CBSE compartment exams in view of a pending case regarding the CBSE compartment exams in the Hon’ble Supreme Court #CBSECompartmentExam.”
The compartment exam for classes X and XII began on Tuesday at 1,268 centres across the nation.
